Established in 1951, The Chism Company, Inc. is a manufacturer of architectural/industrial shade and protective products. Based in San Antonio with local sales and service in Austin, Chism serves Central and South Texas, though many of our products can be packed and shipped across the U.S. Our capabilities include metal fabrication/welding as well as a full service canvas shop and industrial cut and sew operations. Our raw materials are responsibly sourced and our end products recyclable. Familiar products include awnings, canopies, shade structures, sun control devices, covered parking and more.

OUR FOUNDER: KENNETH L. CHISM

Following WWII and his service as a B-17 pilot, Kenneth Chism founded The Chism Company, Inc. in 1951. Since then, we have grown from a small home improvement business into a recognized industry leader in fabric and metal shade and protective solutions. Our canvas shop and metal fabrication shop in San Antonio utilize some of the most advanced equipment and techniques in our industry. Ken Chism's commitments to quality, personal service, and technical innovation remain the cornerstones of our business in the 21st century.
